IP Address An IP Address is a number assigned to a computer by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) who provides access to the Internet. Websites collect the IP Address of their visitors. They tend to use IP Addresses to diagnose problems with their servers, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for a user’s computer to use when connecting to the website. There are two types of IP Addresses: Dynamic IP Addresses and Static IP Addresses. |
